Herbal Knowledge: Medicines of Black Captives with Frontline Farming

FrontLine Farming's Lead Herbalist, Monticue, will be teaching about the herbal knowledge of enslaved Africans. During slavery, Africans survived the harshest conditions while in unfamiliar lands. How did they survive? Herbs! Enslaved communities had people within them that had vital knowledge on the healing powers of plants. Come learn about how enslaved people promoted healing through plant medicine and how you can use their knowledge for your own healing today.

Please bring your own water bottle, sunscreen or hat, gloves and appropriate work wear. We will provide the necessary tools.

This workshop will cost $30. Scholarships are available. Please email your request to info@frontlinefarming.org.

No one will be turned away.
